Class Details
May Financial Literacy Classes: One’s Personal Journey to Financial Wellness
The daily financial literacy class is held Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Topics for the weeks in May are these:
–Week of May 13 to 17 — “The Fundamentals of Personal Finance”
–Week of May 20 to 24 — “Expert Advice form Dave Ramsey”
–Week of May 27 to 31 — “Financial Literacy in the News”
May Financial Literacy workshops: Workplace Readiness
The workplace readiness workshops are held every Wednesday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The theme in May is, “Nine Steps to Getting the Job you Want.” Topics for May include:
–Getting the job you want;
–Writing a generic resume;
–Networking and choosing references;
–Using the want ads during your job search;
–Using employment agencies;
–Effective Interviewing.
Healthcare will be Taught in Two Other Classes

Register May to August for the September ABE/GED Classes
The ABE/GED (Adult Basic Education / General Educational Development) class will resume in September 2013. Visit or call Job Search between May and August 2013 to register for these classes. Instruction will be offered in reading, writing, mathematics, social studies, and science. Each class is limited to 15 students. Based on actual registration, classes might be offered twice a week.
